Blade Battery
BYD has been a pioneer in battery technology for over two decades.
Its revolutionary Blade Battery is born out of BYD’s relentless research and development and a major advancement for the Electric Vehicle industry.
The Blade Battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) which offers a higher level of safety, durability, longevity, and performance compared with conventional lithium-ion batteries. It is also 100 per cent free of cobalt, a material that raises ethical and environmental concerns in the mining industry.
BYD’s latest game-changing Blade Battery has passed a series of extreme tests such as the Nail Penetration Test making it one of the world’s safest batteries.
Cell to Body (CTB) Technology
BYD SEAL is the first model equipped with in-house developed CTB technology.
The cutting edge technology integrates the Blade Battery seamlessly into the entire vehicle structure resulting in countless benefits in terms of safety, handling and space utilisation.
With CTB technology, the Blade Battery is more than an energy source. It is also a structural component capable of withstanding significant force.
Intelligent Torque Adaption Control System (iTAC)
BYD SEAL goes one step further in pioneering innovation with the latest iTAC technology.
With the latest iTAC technology, the BYD SEAL dynamics restoration intelligently allocates drive torque, using torque shift, appropriate torque reduction and
negative torque output.
The iTAC advanced system efficiently minimises or eliminates skidding, to unlock the full potential of the vehicle’s power. Not only does it enhance safety, it also elevates the overall handling comfort, ensuring a smooth and secure driving experience.

High speed fast charging
The BYD SEAL is equipped as a standard with a high voltage-boost charging solution which allows for faster charging.
In 26 minutes, the battery can be charged from 30 per cent to 80 per cent with DC capacity of 150kW.
The BYD SEAL comes with AC charging port – Type 2 (11 kW) make charging at home more easy and convenient.
